Week 2 task03: my favourite game

 TASK03:MY FAVOURITE GAME

One of my favourite games of all time is ratchet and clank, It's one of my favourite childhood games i played when I was younger, I played all the originals from the playstaion 2 and the hd collection on the playstaion 3 i did not play the new titles that have came out for the playstaion 4 but I am very interested in the new upcoming rachet and clank game coming to the playstaion 5.

Ratchet and clank is franchise that was created and developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, the whole ratchet and clank series is exclusive to Sony platforms besides two other games like Size matters and Secret agent clank.

The game takes place in a science fictional setting and follows the adventures of ratchet and clank as they travel through the universe saving it from evil forces that consistently threaten it.

This is the first one i played this game came out in 2002 the year i was born so i only got the play it when i was around 7 years old then i caught up with the other games that came out.

Ratchet and clank a crack in time is hands down my favourite game of entire series i have finished the game many times when i was younger and the other ones too, but this game out of all of them is the one i had the must time enjoyed and fun playing.

  1. Hey Nadine! Just finished reading this blog post and found it very interesting finding out about the Ratchet and Clank series. I've seen images of the games before but never actually played it but now from what you described I would love to give it a try. You wrote that it's coming out on PlayStation 5 so I'll probably give it a try then as I'm planning on getting one!

  2. Hey David. Couldn't find your introduction post so thought I would read this post instead. When I was younger me and my brothers used to love Crash Bandicoot, it was only when we went to our older cousins house that we ever played Ratchet and Clank. We never actually owned it but I remember enjoying playing it and this post has definitely made me want to go back and play it again to see what it's like.

Week 9-project

Week 9 Alpha  My project for this week has been going pretty well I was able to catch up to the point I was at, before I deleted my other file my accident, I was having a bit of problems because my unity was just being very glitchy and it crashed multi of times but I was able to get the work done, which I'm happy about. Here are some screenshot of what I was doing the this week, I made my own level using the tile and grids at first it was very annoying to do because I kept on forgetting to add the grid so the tiles could be on the screen but after a while I got it and then I had to slice all the pixels to 16 by 16 to make it fit the grid I also had to do the same for the sprite character. And there is also a bit of code I just started in I'm able to make the player move left and right and the player can jump

“Is video game addiction real?” Why was it made? The aim of this particular study is to look at the longer terms and impact when it comes to people that have a particular relationship with video games and how playing video games for a period of time can do to a person over time   , in this article it was based off of a six year study, the longest study ever done on video game addiction, and It’s very rare    it’s also found that 90% of gamers do not play in a way that is harmful or causes negative long term consequences and it’s actually a significant minority , though it’s still very bad because of how people can get truly addicted to video games and as a result can suffer mentally, socially and behaviorally. Week 7-Reading

Games decisions I have  spent at least 30 minutes browsing each of the articles which are "Building a Princess saving app", "Flow experience in computer game playing among thai university students and the video "What is Flow Theory in game design". My perspective on game decisions has also changed, when I was reading the Building a princess article the  learning curve and what can a game teach the player, when I saw the graph for the learning curve for traditional apps I didn't realise that you really don't gain any other useful skills from your time your using the traditional app, I also liked the part where the person writing this was comparing it with photoshop and how it said it took him 3 years to learn photoshop because of how complicated it is, but I find photoshop very easy to use and only took me like 2 weeks to understand most of it., but unlike a traditional app, the skills you learn in a game for example the original super Mario you learn a...
