Week 4-Feedback

 Feedback Strategies

After reading the two articles I have chosen to read which were "Try feedforward Instead of Feedback" and "Be a mirror", after reading these two i'll explain how my knowledge on feedback has gotten much bigger than before.

I already knew feedback was a very important thing but I didn't really think on how much different types of ways you can use feedback for example downward feedback which is one of the traditionally methods of information using feedback where the leaders would give downward feedback to their employees, and it's also the same way for employees can give feedback to their leaders which is called upward feedback.

But what I really liked about this article was how it said a big problem with all these types of feedback is that it focuses on the past and on what has already happened not on the infinite opportunities that can happen in the future, I liked this part of the article because I agree with this statement a lot because in my opinion what's the point of always talking about what you did wrong instead you should be focusing on future.

The second article I read "Be a mirror" talks about growth mindset and it talks about how some of these students progress much faster than others is because of their mindset, I think it's a good thing to have because all their skills like reading, problem solving can always improve and always get better to help them through the learning process, so basically a growth mindset you really believe in yourself and have very little self doubt, unlike a person with a fixed mindset believes that what ever abilities they have like reading or whatever even if it's good or bad is just gonna stay the way it is and their is absolutely no way for their skills to improve.

In my opinion feedback is a very good thing but it also depends on the person for example when I get feedback and their is a couple of bad feedback, I'm the type of person wouldn't be depressed about the negatives instead id be looking at it for what it is and now I can improve on it and look at the stuff I did right and improve on it, but a different person could have a completely different response.

Week 9-project

Week 9 Alpha  My project for this week has been going pretty well I was able to catch up to the point I was at, before I deleted my other file my accident, I was having a bit of problems because my unity was just being very glitchy and it crashed multi of times but I was able to get the work done, which I'm happy about. Here are some screenshot of what I was doing the this week, I made my own level using the tile and grids at first it was very annoying to do because I kept on forgetting to add the grid so the tiles could be on the screen but after a while I got it and then I had to slice all the pixels to 16 by 16 to make it fit the grid I also had to do the same for the sprite character. And there is also a bit of code I just started in I'm able to make the player move left and right and the player can jump

Week 7-Reading

Games decisions I have  spent at least 30 minutes browsing each of the articles which are "Building a Princess saving app", "Flow experience in computer game playing among thai university students and the video "What is Flow Theory in game design". My perspective on game decisions has also changed, when I was reading the Building a princess article the  learning curve and what can a game teach the player, when I saw the graph for the learning curve for traditional apps I didn't realise that you really don't gain any other useful skills from your time your using the traditional app, I also liked the part where the person writing this was comparing it with photoshop and how it said it took him 3 years to learn photoshop because of how complicated it is, but I find photoshop very easy to use and only took me like 2 weeks to understand most of it., but unlike a traditional app, the skills you learn in a game for example the original super Mario you learn a...
