Game fun
After reading the two articles "Gamification what has fun got to do with it?" and "putting the fun factor into gaming" and the video of "A theory of fun game design.
Reading the first article made me rethink how I actually thought of fun when playing a video game because to me the word fun is a very vague word to even explain like love, fun is more of a feeling that you know rather than a word that you can describe of the top of your head, when I saw " Marc leBlanc's 8 kinds of fun I was kinda of surprised with how he describe them and it actually made sense because I know I really couldn't interoperate the word fun, but I do agree with the words that Marc used like "Sensation" the "Narrative" which is a very important part of story driven games.
In the second article it was talking about the enjoyment of social interaction with other players in one part of the article and how more people are enjoying these types of games, which is very true because over the years online games have gotten super popular and most people don't buy games anymore unless they have some sort of online multiplayer in it, games like world of warcraft and call of duty modern warfare, really started the wave with social interaction in gaming because back in the day most games were single player or if they were online there was no way to really communicate, the only way back then was to bring your friends over so you can play the game together but nowadays, since we live in the age of the internet it's much easier too.
