Week 14(02)

 Tutorial 01

I finished the unity tutorial and I won't lie I have been pretty rusty when it came to doing the coding and all of that I probably need to watch a couple of tutorials again so I my workflow when it comes to making and fishing the assignments that we get from unity and other projects that we are going to do in the future.

I chose the "Ruby's Adventure 2D beginners" at of all the other one, because from my project in the last semester I made a 2D platform game or I tried my best to anyway, so I probably will stick to this route, at first it was a bit difficult but I did get the hang of it.

In the tutorial we had to learn to use and customise the unity editor, how to world layout and design using tile maps which I had already done in my last project so that was very very easy for to do, we also had to adapt static sprites to animated sprites and I won't lie it was very difficult and first that's a part I must likely need to work one which I will

Annotated Bibliography 1   Utah, Cami Buckley. “Is video game addiction real”. May 13 2020. Tutorial 06

Week 19(07) In this lesson we learned how to use a user interface which overlays images and text on your science to show information. This section was pretty interesting I'll be honest but I wouldn't say that I enjoyed doing this but it was still pretty interesting to learn for example we learned how to create a UI canvas. We also had to use a rect transform and what that is it's basically still a transform but it has an additional UI data that you can look up later on and there was other functions like the canvas scaler. World interactions was pretty cool we learned how raycasting is very useful to interactive applications because it allows you to detect things like colliders, and I didn't know raycasting has a lot of other options depends on the type of game you are making for example to check whether there is anything between the main characters position and an enemy position.

Week 5-Project

Game vision statement  Game genre: The game genre that I will be choosing from a serious of options like shooters, action adventure and role playing games I was having a hard time in thinking what type of game I wanted because when ever I get told a project and we have all the power to make it anyone I want I get and have so many different ideas in my head it gets too much sometimes and I had to realise that I was only new to game development so all the complex and cool features that I wanted for my game would be very difficult so I went for one of the simpler routes and chose to make a plat-former game. Gameplay: The gameplay for the plat-former was going to be similar to how super Mario gameplay is because one I liked super Mario so it would be fun to make a game similar to it and Mega man another plat-former just like Mario but instead of just jumping around just like in Mario, Mega man has a shooting aspect in the game, so I know that I'm definitely going to have co...
